[h=2]nderstanding KingdomCraze - For Knights and Beyond[/h]
The overall objective in KC is to own the most land and money, measured in the number of hovels owned and the amount of Krun you amass.
The more land you own, the higher your status, and the more you earn on a daily basis!
Of course, the more land you acquire, the more of a target you become amongst the other players who will seek to capture some of your land for themselves!

Hovels and Their Function

Hovels represent a small piece of land (traditionally, the word means a small piece of dirty, undeveloped land, usually housing squatters). Together, multiple hovels form villages (10 hovels), manors (50 hovels), fief (500 hovels) and kingdoms (1000 hovels).
Each hovel you own, generates a certain amount of ‘Krun’ daily as long as you fulfill the tasks associated with your status and the particular day.

Krun And how to Earn More!

Krun is the in-game currency of Kingdom Craze. The word Krun is one of the historical words associated with the concept of ‘authority’ (we get the word ‘crown’ from variations on this word and a few others). Krun is the main resource in your kingdom and required to purchase more hovels, units, items and better equipment. Fundamentally, the amount of Krun greatly influences how well you prosper over time. However, the amount of Krun owned does not affect your status. In the traditional Feudal system, ‘liquid money’ did not hold much value in terms of status, even though it was arguably greatly useful in acquiring that status. This means that a serf could have more Krun than a King, and yet be lower in status.

How To Earn Krun

There are multiple ways to get more Krun:

- Purchasing Krun - You can purchase different amounts of Krun from the Krun xChange page.
                    - Daily tributes from hovels - the amount of land you own directly affects how much Krun you receive daily in tributes. (Read the ‘behind the scenes’ section to understand how the earning is determined each day)

- Referring More Players - As you build your alliance by referring other players, you receive tributes from them as they prosper in building their own kingdoms. You can do this by simply sending potential players to your unique KC link which you can find on the ‘Expand Alliance’ page.

- Performing Tasks for Associates - you can perform some tasks (like filling out offers) for KC sponsors and partners to receive additional Krun.

- Fighting Other Players - You can fight other players for Krun in 3 different player-vs-player game modes. (more on this in a moment).

Building An Alliance

Your alliance provides you with additional Krun in form of political tributes and kickbacks on hovel purchases. Additionally, your allies help you defeat opponents in ‘Wars’, helping you solidify your kingdom and earnings even further.
In general, the bigger and more prosperous your alliance, the more Krun you earn.
You can start building your alliance by inviting other players to join KingdomCraze through your unique link that can be found at ‘Expand Alliance’ page. Share the link with your friends, family, and fellow gamers to power your way through to becoming a legend!

Krun To $$

Krun can be purchased with real world currency, and likewise can be converted back to real world currency. You can convert Krun to dollars and vice versa on the ‘Krun xChange’ page.
This means that the more Krun you earn, the more you can convert to real world currency, or exchange for KC sponsored rewards!

PvP (Player vs Player) Fights

Players can fight other players in 3 separate ways to earn more Krun and Hovels:

- Invasion - This is a straight up fight involving the units and equipment of 2 players. This may only be fought between 2 players of similar status (for example, between 2 knights). Use cunning, strategy, and superior war-gear to defeat your opponent to loot some of their hovels and receive krun!

- Espionage - This is a ‘secret war’ being waged in the underbelly of various kingdoms. Any player may attack the ‘Dwelling’ of another player of equal or higher status. As a defense against this, a player can set up traps, units, and puzzles for attackers. Attackers have to devise clever solutions and use counter-trap equipment to get a certain number of their units across the Dwelling.
If an attacker is successful, he receives Krun by looting defender’s hovels based on how well he played. However, if he fails (non of the units reach the end of the maze or the attacker himself dies in the attempt), then the defender receives Krun based on the equipment and units lost by the attacker.

- War - This is a special type of fight that can be only engaged in by Nobles or higher ranks and involves not just the 2 players, but also their entire alliance. As with an Invasion, a player can issue a challenge to another player. However, once the war begins, either player may being the ‘Light The Beacons’ mode, which results in the armies of the whole alliance engaging in a full scale war. The winner in this case receives Krun based on the amount of damage inflicted. Some of the Krun is also passed down to allies who helped the winner in the war based on how many units they offered in the war.

For all players not familiar with games of these types, a practice mode is available where you can learn to play and experiment with different strategies. The maximum cap on any form of attack is 50,000 Krun. This means that even on the highest levels of attacks, the defender can only lose up to 50,000 Krun.
Once someone is attacked, they automatically receive ‘Political Asylum’ for 24 hours and may not be attacked by anyone else.
